Jason Kracun




About Me

Jason A. Kracun is the Chief of Operations at Redline Tactical, a company dedicated to providing superior physical security assessments and tactical training services to professional clients at the private sector and government industries.  Jason has spent nearly two decades as Security Police Captain for the Department of Energy (DOE) Navel Nuclear Laboratory in Pittsburgh.  He currently holds a DOE Q (Top Secret) clearance.  He is a certified DOE Instructor whose responsibilities include but are not limited to the oversight and management of Security Police personnel, day-to-day operations, meetings, staffing, scheduling, payroll, limited scope performance tests/drills, continuing training education, performance evaluations, security presentations, report writing, etc.  He has served as a member of the Security Department’s Tactical Training Team which comprised of specialized Special Weapons and Tactics (SWAT) training.  He has served nearly 9 years as an operator and team leader for the Naval Reactors Composite Adversary Team, established to test and evaluate physical security vulnerabilities at high-profile government installations.  He has also conducted numerous threat/risk assessments at Nuclear Hazard Category 1 facilities.  Jason works closely with federal, state, and local law enforcement agencies for information sharing and to affect strategies to mitigate against domestic and international terrorism.  Jason continues to provide a wide range of tactical training to police officers and active military personnel.

In addition, Jason has 22 years of experience in law enforcement (Police Officer/Corporal) and has been actively involved with emergency services (Security, Fire, and EMS) for nearly 30 years.  He has responded to countless critical incidents and has served as an Incident Commander, utilizing the National Incident Management System protocol, to safely direct emergency scenes.

Jason has a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering Technology from Point Park University.  He has completed the Pennsylvania Act 120 (Municipal Police Officer and Education Training Commission) Police Officer certification and has a myriad of emergency services and professional leadership certifications.
